Using a story-based approach the book will provide a defined framework to developing and operating an international franchise brand that will serve as a comprehensive resource for industry experts, enthusiasts and novices alike. Examples of the successful strategies and common mistakes will be organized in thematic chapters covering every aspect of international franchising from getting started, cultural adaptations, ongoing operations and more. Ali McElroy is a business executive and attorney whose international franchise experience spans over 30 countries, a dozen franchise brands and thousands of units. Ali’s international operations experience includes leading the international division of world leading fitness franchises. Ali is an attorney and previously worked with companies as in-house and outside legal counsel focused on franchise, international and corporate transactions. Ali speaks regularly at national and international programs on franchising and international business, is the author of several publications on franchising and earned an executive MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Ali is an influential leader in the franchise and legal community having served on a number of boards and committees, including the International Franchise Committee of the International Franchise Association. Ali was recognized as one of 100 Influential Women in Franchising in 2020 by Global Franchise magazine.

Bill Edwards has over four decades of international living and working experience across several business sectors. Since 1990 he has been a master franchisee for a U.S. business services franchise in five countries in Asia, Europe and the Middle East, a Senior VP of international operations and development for a U.S. franchise and has helped more than 40 franchisors go global successfully into more than 30 countries. He has written more than 50 articles on global business development and speaks frequently around the world on this topic. Bill is the Treasurer of the Institute of Certified Franchise Executives Board of Governors and is a Member of the Titus Center for Franchising Advisory Board at Palm Beach University. He is also Vice Chair of the District Export Council of Southern California, appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce. His company has twice received the U.S. President’s Award for Export Excellence.
